Chantal Comte named certain batches of un-aged rum “L’Arbre du Voyageur” to recall the tropical palm-trees planted in front of houses in the Antilles as a sign of welcome.
This batch is from the Loge 15 of Maison La Mauny cellars. It has been aged in French oak casks (Tronçais’ woods). 3000 numbered bottles have been released.

The color is blond-ish, with shiny golden reflects with « tear drops » clinging to the glass.
Aroma
The aroma highlights a superb delicacy with spices and warness.
Taste
Hints of vanilla, sweet spiced as well as incense and an anise touch subtly evokes the tropical terroir.
Finish
An extremely long finale expressing all the fullness of this rum showing that “to souls nobly born, value does not depend upon age” as wrote Corneille.
